Crisis Assistance Ministry is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. A local organization, 100 percent of all donations are used to provide services in the greater Gastonia area. We rely on support from our faith partners and the community to provide assistance to our neighbors in need.

You may designate your gift in honor or in memory of someone special. For honorarium gifts please include the name(s) of the person(s) you wish to honor along with their address. For memorial gifts, please include the name(s) of the person(s) you wish to remember and the address of the person you would like notified of your gift. Honorarium and memorial gifts should be mailed or delivered.
An endowment with the Community Foundation of Gaston County offers donors an opportunity to invest in CAM’s future through donations of stocks and by naming the Crisis Assistance Ministry as the beneficiary of life insurance policies, IRAs and 401-K plans.
Donations of food by partner congregations along with interested individuals and groups help to stock CAM’s food pantry.
CAM is a partner agency of Second Harvest Foodbank of Metrolina and purchases food at their warehouse for a small shared maintenance fee.
CAM relies on the time and talents of volunteers to carry out its mission. Volunteers play a critical role in providing services.
Opportunities for service include receptionists, client interviewers, and food pantry volunteers who sort, shelve, and pack food.
